" The Association of Graduates has recently learned of the death of Maj (Ret) Joe F. Peters, Sr., CS-12 class of 1963. Major Peters passed away on 17 May 2023 in Sallisaw, OK.
Visitation will be on 22 May 2023 from 1000-2000 hours at Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, 123 Wheeler St, Sallisaw, OK 74955. The funeral service will be on 23 May 2023 at 1000 hours at the First Baptist Church, 122 W Chickasaw Ave, Sallisaw, OK 74955. Burial will be in Peters Cemetery, Sequoyah, OK, however, no date is available.
His family has suggested that memorial donations be made to the Sallisaw Youth League, PO Box 1785, Sallisaw, OK 74955.
